More than 2 700 tons of blueberries were exported by the Hass Perú agroindustrial company to the main international markets, during its blueberry harvest campaign 2017.
This campaign began in July of last year and ended in February of this year, and has given Hass Peru a great satisfaction compared to the previous harvests. "During the process of care and harvest of our berry, we are concerned so that the product has the best conditions, so we obtain a blueberry with good flavor, caliber, without tears and with 'bloom', characteristics that the market values and differentiates; that is why, we have grown as exporters and we hope to continue satisfying the needs of our customers, "said the company's operations manager.
There were more than 1400 collaborators related to the work of harvesting that during these almost eight months of campaign they committed to guarantee the best product for export. "Our employees are the most important element of our company and each campaign. More than a company, we are a family and that has helped us grow, "he said.
It should be noted that Hass Peru will continue betting on the cultivation of blueberry and for this year, it has predicted to increase its hectares from 225 to 275.
